Missing - Sense of Humour
Thursday 26 August 2010
In a dramatic series of events that has left the Ultimate world in shock, news has just broken of the sudden disappearance
of Matt Mcloughlin's sense of humour. Eye witness reports claim that a heated game of Jenga proved to be the 'straw that broke the camels back'.
Advanced Time-Lapse photography has been used to actually pin point the moment when his sense of humour vanished:

Going...

Going...

Gone. Matt puts up a flight, but the abuse is too much.
In an interview with Matt Beavan, it was clear to all that this moment was on the cards "He seemed very unreasonable at Worlds and often lost his cool.
I only asked him to book a Taxi for my parents and he totally lost it". Dave Sealy reminisces about the good old days when Matt's fragility was limited only to his body:
"It used to be tradition to throw a disc into his balls at training, he loved it... the more brutal the blade the happier he was,
even a ruptured testicle couldn't wipe the smile of his face". It seems that those days are over. Prior to the controversial Jenga match,
Matt had displayed many worrying symptoms of someone on the brink of losing all grasp of comedy. In a futile attempt to deflect
the barrage of abuse which was now 'not being received very well' Matt stepped down as team administrator. Stu Mitchell questioned his logic:
"if he thinks he won't be abused if he gives up the admin role then he is kidding himself, unfortunately the way he is and the
things he says will always leave him open to jokes"
For while it seemed to be working for Matt who was now keen to 'focus on his game'. It was going well, he only recorded 5
turn overs at Northern Regionals and he expressed his joy that two new recruits were diverting the attention away from him.
The Neil-Niall gag was brewing nicely and Thomas 'Total' Cartwright showed excellent promise when Pittchler developed a nasty
bout of Tourettes in front of his parents. Matt underestimated Chevrons' capacity for gags. It was just the quiet before the storm, a Jenga storm.
A reward is being offered for information leading to the recovery of Matts sense of humour. It is described at 'dwindling',
characterized by repeated failures and lewd in nature. People are advised to approach with caution as it is armed with extremely
poor jokes and near-zero ability to take them back. Reward: A night with Lianne Elsdon.
